Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 2026 · PICTDrive Independent Student Platform

1. Zero Administrative Tracking

PICTDrive is built by students for students. We strictly do not sell, license, or share your academic search history, attendance calculations, or private lab code with college authorities, faculty members, or third-party advertisers.

2. Data We Collect & Store

We only collect the minimum information required to operate platform features:

  • Institutional Email: Verified @ms.pict.edu or @pict.edu email address for domain-gated authentication and moderator access.
  • Public Academic Submissions: Notes, PYQs, and lab manuals submitted for public review in the Academic Archive.
  • Community Karma & Badges: Contribution points awarded for verified uploads and helpful discussion replies.

3. Personal Student Lab Vault (100MB Quota)

Files uploaded to your personal Lab Vault are stored securely in isolated Google Drive directories via server-side service account encryption. They are strictly protected by Row-Level Security (RLS) policies—only you have authorization to view, stream, or delete your lab code and version revisions.

4. 75% Attendance Planner Local Storage

Your timetable schedules, bunk estimates, and subject-wise attendance numbers are computed locally on your device using browser LocalStorage. This data never touches external analytics servers.

5. Data Deletion & Contact

You can permanently wipe your Lab Vault storage or request complete account deletion at any time by visiting Account Settings or contacting the student maintainers at pranay@sciencegear.tech.
